RUSSIA ANGRY OVER DELIVERY OF F-16S TO UKRAINE FROM DENMARK AND HOLLAND
Kyiv: Ukrainian
President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's hard work has paid off and he has finally been
assured of F-16 fighter jets in the war against Russia, which Russia has
expressed deep anger over.
According
to the World News Agency, since the beginning of the war, President Zelensky
has been demanding the supply of F-16 aircraft and anti-aircraft air defense
systems from European countries for victory against Russia.
Despite
the meetings with the presidents of the United States and the United Kingdom,
the address to the European Union and repeating the demand in various forums of
the world powers, long silence was bothering Ukraine.
However,
Denmark and the Netherlands have now removed President Volodymyr Zelenskiy's
doubts by announcing the delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
Denmark
will provide a total of 19 aircraft to Ukraine. The Netherlands has 42
F-16s but it is not yet clear how many will be sent.
Foreign
media claimed that at the beginning of next year, six F-16 aircraft will be
given to Ukraine, while other aircraft will also be provided, but these
aircraft will only be able to be used by Ukraine in its territory.
The
President of Ukraine said that the F-16 aircraft will balance the power
politics in the region and we will have a great opportunity to defend
ourselves. It will also increase the determination and courage of the
Ukrainian army.
On the
other hand, Russia, taking a threatening attitude, has warned that the supply
of F-16 fighter jets by Denmark and the Netherlands to Ukraine will further
intensify the war.
The
Russian ambassador added that the supply of F-16s will prolong the war and will
be met with a strong response.
Dozens
of Ukrainian Air Force pilots will be trained to fly the F-16, but will not be
able to operate the F-16 fighter jet until this fall or winter.
